We're committed to making our venue and theatre experiences accessible for all.

Hearing Assisted Loop

The auditorium has an induction loop in place. Patrons using hearing aids with a 'T' switch are able to use this service. This service is provided on request. Please advise the box office at time of booking if you wish to use the hearing assisted loop.

Babies & Children

Any child requiring their own seat must hold a valid ticket, and must remain in their seat at all times. Babies up to 2 years are admitted free of charge providing they remain on the lap of a parent or guardian. Please ask the box office staff for a "babe in arms" ticket. It is the parent’s or guardian’s responsibility to ensure the disturbance of other patrons is avoided. Our Front of House staff are happy to keep an eye on prams and baby capsules in the foyer, as these are not permitted in the auditorium.

Older Children

We encourage children of all ages to come to the Theatre - it's a great experience for them. Any child aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult and must not be left unaccompanied while at the Theatre. Young people aged 16 or over may attend the Theatre without adult supervision but, like all patrons, are expected to behave appropriately while in the Theatre. Some performances are rated 18+ or the performer may request no children under a certain age attend, even if accompanied by adults.

Wheelchair & Mobility Access

If you require mobility assistance please contact us so that we can accommodate your needs. Please let us know if you need to access seating at the end of a row or if you need to avoid stairs. The Theatre has dedicated seating for people who use wheelchairs or have limited or reduced mobility. Unfortunately we are unable to provide special assistance when you book tickets online because the system automatically allocates the best available seats without taking your access needs into account. To book wheelchair or accessible seats please contact the box office on 02 6962 8444.

There is lift access to the Burley Griffin Room if required.

Companion card

Griffith Regional Theatre subscribes to the NSW Government's Companion Card scheme for people who require a companion. This means anyone issued with an official Companion Card is able to purchase a ticket to attend the theatre with their companion attending for free - essentially two tickets for the price of one. You must mention that you are purchasing under this scheme when booking. Companion Card bookings can only be made in person at the Box Office or via phone. This service is not available over the internet.
